Another iconic Manchester music venue I've loved illustrating!

Standing proudly on Whitworth Street West, The Ritz has been part of Manchester's entertainment scene since 1927, evolving from a dance hall into one of the city's best-loved live music venues.

From its famous sprung dance floor to legendary gigs, indie nights and club nights, The Ritz has played a huge part in Manchester's musical history.

Over the years, its stage has welcomed everyone from The Smiths and The Stone Roses to Oasis, alongside countless other bands and artists who've helped make Manchester such an incredible music city.

For my latest illustration, I've captured The Ritz on a typically rainy Manchester evening, with the building's beautiful Art Deco-inspired frontage illuminated against the dark blue sky. A little nod to those nights spent queuing in the rain, waiting to get inside for a gig or a night out!

A celebration of one of Manchester's most treasured music venues and all the memories made within its walls.
